The Mossberg ATR rifle has an overall length of 42 inches and, as noted, a 22-inch fluted barrel (1:10 inch twist). The fluted barrel and lightweight receiver boast a matte blued finish and do wonders bringing down the total weight of the rifle – a very manageable seven pounds. The Mossberg ATR also ships with a black synthetic stock and a length of pull that measures 13 1/2 inches. As for sights, the ATR comes equipped with Weaver-style scope mount bases, which make mounting optics very simple. As noted, the ATR is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge, one of the world’s most popular hunting cartridges.
