The chamber is marked “byf / 41” with an eagle firing proof and serial number on the left side and three eagle/655 proofs on the right side. Eagle/WaA655 proofs are stamped on the trigger guard and floor plate. The trigger guard screws the barrel and receiver, the floor plate and trigger guard and bolt are numbered to the gun (1928). The bolt assembly no numbers, and the barrel band is 55. The barrel at the breech is marked what looks like “D719”. Butt plate is not original. The stock looks original but as been modified.
