Description
Springfield P9 LSP 40 “CZ75” Pistol. Original box and paperwork.
US / Italian “Very Good” Surplus: Springfield P9 LSP 40 cal “CZ75″ w/ 5” Ported Barrel w/ 2 Mags Original box and paperwork. Extra trigger and firing pin.
The Czech-designed CZ-75 was next to impossible to get in the US during the Cold War. However, the Italian firm of Tanfoglio made a nearly perfect clone of the CZ-75. Springfield cut a deal with Tanfoglio and started importing these guns under the “Springfield” label from Italy around 1990-1993. Although they were made in Italy, they were prominently marked ‘Springfield P9’ across the slide, Springfield Armory Geneseo, IL USA on the frame.
Something odd to note: We were unable to find any Tanfoglio or Italy marking on the items. (Should be present for import requirements) It is possible like many 1st gen “Israeli” firearms. Italy supplied the parts and the items were assembled in the destination country.
Here we have a Springfield P9 LSP “Long Slide Ported” features a 5″ Ported barrel & slide.
Like other CZ-75 type, it is a recoil-operated, semi-automatic, single / double-action pistol, compatible with CZ-75 B Mags
