Treating MIL-SPEC as the baseline Faxon refines material selection inspection and surface finishing to deliver consistent reliability and long service life. – Each bolt is machined from 9310 tool steel fully heat-treated shot-peened and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure material integrity. The bolt receives a salt bath nitride treatment to increase surface hardness reduce friction and provide excellent corrosion resistance compared to phosphate finishes. – Bolt lugs are chamfered to promote smooth cycling-even with higher-pressure loads and fast actions.
