German Hungarian Mauser G98/40 1943. Bore is clean with good grooves. All matching numbers including the stock. jhv 43 WaA 173 Bayonet lug and front sight hood. Rifle looks all original and unaltered.

This is an all matching and original example of a Rare Nazi issued rifle, made in 1943 at the FEG factory in Hungary. These rifles were originally manufactured during the early part of WWII as the Hungarian model 35, at the Metal Goods and Weapons Factory, Budapest, Hungary. After the take over of the Hungarian factory by the Germans these rifles were designated the model G98/40 and the factory was given the wartime code of “jhv”. This rifle is similar in function and operation to the standard K98 rifle with nearly identical front and rear sights, making training and reissue very easy. The top of the receiver is marked “jhv/43” the wartime code for the Hungarian factory and 1943 for the year of manufacture. The left receiver side wall is marked “G98/40” and the left side of the receiver and barrel have the large German Eagle firing proof. The receiver and barrel are in very good condition. Proper sight hood that is machined into the actual front sight.
