Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act 2025

Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act 2025

The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act Introduced in January 2025.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act has again been introduced in Congress in January 2025. Early indications are that it will pass and President Trump will sign the bill. In reading the text of the bill, (read it here), The bill essentially provides the same type of reciprocity as with your driver’s license. If you have a conceal carry permit from your state of residence it would have to be recognized by the other states if you were to conceal carry in another state. You would also be required to have a valid government issued photo ID in your possession along with your conceal carry permit. You would also still be required to comply with the other state’s laws. For example, here in Pennsylvania we do not have magazine restrictions. We can carry 17 round handguns. NY State I believe has a 10 round magazine maximum capacity. It seems the bill states if I was going to NY I could only carry a 10 round magazine.

It seems likely to pass this time around. It has been presented before but was not considered. Having a drivers license is a privilege, keeping and bearing arms is a right. Americans should have had National Reciprocity a long time ago. We will keep tabs on the progress and keep you posted.
